The beach of Cumbuco stretches for kilometers, with fine white sand that gradually melts into the turquoise sea. From a Dream to Balibar Cumbuco
Every story of a home begins with a dream.
Every story of a home begins with a dream. Ours started far from the beaches of Ceará – in the Netherlands, where Olf built his own house in the woods of Zuidlaren and spent decades working in ICT, education, and consulting. Juliana was born in Paraná, in the south of Brazil, but has called the Netherlands her home for over 30 years. Together we shared one wish: to create a place where people could feel at home, surrounded by nature, freedom, and authentic hospitality.
Between the Netherlands and Brazil, our lives became a dance of two worlds. With strong roots in Europe and a deep love for Brazil, the dream slowly took shape: a guesthouse by the sea, hidden behind the dunes of Cumbuco, where travelers could find both rest and adventure.
That dream became Casa de Hóspedes Balibar Cumbuco. We built it step by step – from the first rooms and pool to the veranda, the barraca, and the green garden. Each corner reflects our journey, our effort, and our love.
Balibar is more than accommodation. It is mornings with fresh fruit and coffee, afternoons in hammocks or by the pool, and buggy tours across endless dunes. It is the freedom to pause, to explore, and to connect. From Paraná and the Netherlands to the beaches of Ceará, our paths led us here.
